Void Where Prohibited has been rockin’ the San Francisco Bay Area since the mid-80's playing classic rock covers from the 60's and 70's, plus favorites from the 80's and 90's, and more. ERIC MONTIZAMBERT

Eric Montizambert’s musical career began with solo acoustic gigs in a Marin County tavern. He’s played in various classic rock bands, and co-founded Void Where Prohibited in the early 1980’s, fronting the group on lead vocals and rhythm guitar. Eric has maintained his passion for classic rock guitar and vocals, covering everything from southern rock to slow blues.

ROB CUNNINGHAM

Rob Cunningham graduated from Sonoma State University with a BA degree in music, and has performed with the Drifters, the Coasters, the Persuasions, Al Wilson, and the 60’s-70’s rock band It’s A Beautiful Day. He’s also opened for Tommy Tutone, Foghat, the Tubes, Maria Muldaur, and Eric Martin. Rob’s musical influences include Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Yes, Who, John McLaughlin, Jeff Beck, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Wes Montgomery, J.S. Bach, Stravinsky, Mike Keneally, and many more. Rob joined Void Where Prohibited in early 2019, where he demonstrates the range of his musical influences in the band’s performances.

SEAN SILVERMAN

Sean Silverman gravitated to the electric and stand-up bass after studying the piano and clarinet as a pre-teen. He played bass and toured with the Bill Graham-managed classic rock power trio AUM. He’s played in clubs in Chicago and toured for 10 years. In the Bay Area, Sean’s been a freelance musician in many genres of music. He joined Void Where Prohibited in 2011 and we’re fortunate to have a bass player with Sean’s breadth of musical knowledge and talent.

DANA BURT

Dana Burt, our “man with the sticks,” studied in New York City, played clubs in upstate New York and, over the past several years in the Bay Area, he’s played with Cerebral Corps, Jumbo Shrimp, GoGoingGoneGirls, Kit and The Branded Men, San Francisco’s Famous Burlesque Orchestra, Dave Gonzalez (Paladins), the Bogues, and various other musical side projects along the way. Dana was the fill-in drummer for Void Where Prohibited for several years before joining the band as our permanent drummer in January 2019. With his solid percussion, strong sense of rhythm and appreciation for classic rock, he’s an excellent fit for Void Where Prohibited.
